Response to ALWAYS FEEL THE RAIN (it can't rain all the time)

By Sky Singer

lying naked
in my
cozy
lonely
bed is just
another reminder
of how
far way
you are
and i try to
strip myself
of this
weakness
as easily as
yesderday's jeans

[and the sky turns grey]

we are what
we have
always been
looking for;
imperfect,
but the pieces
fit.
how unfair is
the timing
that
binds us
and
divides us.
and i can
hear you
say:
"but darlin',
life's not fair"

[and the rain clouds thicken]

but
lying naked
in my
comforitable
uncomforting
bed is just
another reminder
that
tomorrow
is one day
closer
and time
will not always
divide
and i take comfort in this

[and the sky fades to blue]

with a smile
spread wide
across my
sleepy
countenance
i curl up
in my
cozy
loney
bed
with only
dreams
of you.

[it won't be raining tomorrow]

this is really wonderful...I love the interspersed reports on the sky...terrific turns of phrase "we are what we have always been looking for; imperfect, but the pieces fit." and "lying naked in my comforitable uncomforting bed". Great
