Life Goes On

The lights dim
In the dark I think
I tip the bottle
for another drink

my throat is dry
and muscles tense
I await a call
In deep suspense

My time is wasted
mind is gone
all they say
“life goes on”

if life goes on
what the fuck
I try to move
But find I’m stuck

Don’t know where I’m headed
Can’t remember where I’ve been
I just know some day
my life will end

so what remains
when all is gone
shit will happen
“life goes on”
