The List

By XCryingMinotaurX

wondering through the back of the mind
trailing behind every happy thought
creating dark shadow
causing regret and reservation

its hard trying to understand
how insanity could cause such a scar
how distance and frailty
could cause such a lasting wound in the heart

so when opportunity arrives
the answer should be so clear
but holding back causes pain
and false hope wins out again

being so badly wanted
leads to wanting so badly
only to linger along with giving up and giving in
realization only means
that new faces bring along memories of past lovers

daydreaming in the bluest skies
while dancing on the brownest earth
fallen angels do not thrive here
and death is everywhere

dreams will never be clear when its too difficult to let go
hating every minute of hoping, wishing, waiting...
not feeling as much
but still feeling
causing the ultimate downfall

just add another regret to the list

::hug:: jennifred... we've suffered together... let's try to move on together too... sometimes... the boy's not pretty enough to be worth the pain.

I could feel the words. Great write, and I'm sure we all have our own lists, and they grow everyday.
