When You're The Book, Not Just The Page
By RoseTheBrokenHearted
Writing has never been this hard,
especially when it boils down
to the story of you
But here I am
fighting to breathe
into the memories
I've kept locked away
Hidden without the key
They were just another way
for you to continue to hurt me
Long after you left
Long after you'd return
to leave me once again
You're the story
that I need to tell
I won't allow myself
to leave behind even
the slightest of details.
You're more than just
a page in a book.
More than the smallest of chapters
because of the way you had me hooked.

Author's Note:
I honestly would just like to be able to finish writing my book, but there's been too many details lost in the years of pushing these things away. Just sort of stuck in writer's block.Comments on "When You're The Book, Not Just The Page"

Damn, I lost someone not long ago, she was special, but the thing I lost was my own version of her, I miss so much that ideal love, not the person herself. Anyway, I felt correlation to this while reading it, flush and to the point.

I unfortunately have let this person in one too many times. It really hit me when you said that the thing you lost was your own version of her. It happens to the best of us sometimes. Thank you for reading and thank you for the feedback. I truly appreciate it :) -RTBH
