Anguished Unmaking
By themasterhunter
Angels fell from the sky
like tears from a distant god,
Tumbling through the frosty air
and righting themselves
Gliding in tandem with the
Frozen flakes of sky-
Lunatic oppressors look up to them,
Wearisome rulers lament their descent,
Melting as they fall from the cold heavens,
Blasphemy overtaking their delicate forms
The Warmonger seeks their blessing in didtant peaks-
The fool sings of their glory

They
Burn
In
The
Fall
Pain becomes a harvest-
the masquerade a shelter.
The uncivilized and abraisive begin the hunt
to catch them as they fall
The Apprentice and The Abstract
Yearn to win the prize instead
And yet, as their descent became reachable,
Wrath and Hate erupted from the earth,
And rose as a mountain to reach them.
Skeletal hands reaching,
Withering eyes Greeding
One, a Champion of the Opressors
Another, Given flight by the Arcane
One died to the common folk-
And more are lost to shadows of the mind.
And by tokens of the same fate,
We lost ourselves to an
