It's my fault

By Hope in despair

It's my fault.
I'm guilty.

I caused global warming.
I made the aggravating child-proof cap on medicine,
and I killed Bambi's mom.
It was me!

I am the one who filled the potato chip bag with all air
and 2 chips. I invented papercuts, long lines and customer service. I gave you the Big Mac when you wanted the salad.
Twas I!

I killed O'll Yeller in cold blood, and I made you late for work...... again! I stubbed your toe, and hit your thumb with the hammer.
I did it!

I GAVE YOU DIARRHEA!!!!!!

I am responsible for every fad and trend in existence!
And if there is any poem you've written that sucked, you didn't write it, I DID!

BLAME IT ON ME!
IT'S MY FAULT!!!

The general human seems to have trouble admitting their faults. Even I am guilty of this. I respect people that have the courage to swallow their pride and admit they're at fault, they inspire me to work on that aspect of myself. Good write!

I don't think it has anything to do with low self-esteem. It seems to me that people blame everyone and everything but never themselves. Thus, humility and self-reflection are much needed in today's world. Interpretations may vary, though. Anyway, very nice and thought-provoking work!

Yes my friend ! Nailed it! We have developed the habit as a society to complain or place blame on everything under the sun. It is such an ingrained habit, it is easy to us as breathing! To start to take a different path, to relocate our thoughts to think a different way, to start a different pattern, is possible. I just thought of this silly way of expressing that, with someone being a focal point of blame.

I'm sorry of your low self esteem. Though, congrats on expressing it rhetorically. Thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you Jonas for your concern, but my self- esteem is actually very good at this stage of my life! I know I have a purpose,I am accepting of who I am, warts and all. In my youth I did have that problem, but I am at peace with myself. I just left a comment that explains my intention a bit more.

That is interesting angle to see it from, though. Cool interpretation!
