Gently without words
By darkendomme
Again, his love waters
her eyes in the quiet of a lone bed. In her mind, she finds no pillow
or rest from self hate and it's thoughtful lamentation. Strength is imprisoned
and the fragile woman is loosed in the darkness where none can see her
leap from sanity's edge. He is given all, by morals and vowed beliefs,
repaying her abused love in satchels of sweet memories that trample his
wrong.
Like surrounding fog silently approaching, he crawls on her lap in slow
sorrow. He burrows his guilt against her hardened core. Sobs and vibrations
of sin being forgiven grips her waistline. Sincerity wimpers and is felt
with instant regret of it's brief existence.
Fisted hands meant to lash in hate, is now calmed by pity's kisses mixing
with soon defeat. Her fight is ended and determination is massacred beneath
his knowledge of her. Without words, his haptic embrace returns her into
continued slavery of undeserving love. His hope of her never leaving him is
restored, as he lays her back onto comforts blanket in gentle silence.....
both falling into the abyss of his cruelty and selfish greed to keep
what he should set free in true admittance and love....

Shades of the battered child syndrome, self-blame, self-doubt, and acceptance to settle for the status quo perhaps, rather than rejoining the hunt for a new and improved replacement; mixed with "the grass is always greener" mentality maybe. Being comfortable with the devil you know, can lead to immobility. The endless dilemma in our quest for a mate. They say good sex ix 70% of a good marriage, but 100% of a bad one. Cheers DD - Dan
