sabotage
By molock
with tempered steel,
a sharpened sword.
in an act of sabotage
against the sorcerer,
you took the powers
and made them yours.
pick up your shield
saddle up your horse.
heavy is the head that
wears the crown,
when you're the next
overlord....
it's witching season
for the sorcerer.
employ the prince of
darkness,
to be the enforcer.
signed on the dotted
line,
to open hells door.
sold a soul,
...to even the score.
a fallen angel,
rolling thunder...
a poison arrow
for the hunter
sold a soul
to take a life.
two wrongs
don't make a right.
heavy is the head that
wears the crown,
when the devil has you
in his sights
you run
'cause there's no where
left to hide
voices from the shadows
echo a plot of your demise.
rolling thunder,
lighting strikes.
a poison arrow for the
hunter
and he shot you right
between the eyes....

Better an overlord than an underling I always say Mo. Enjoyed the nod to Shakespeare I believe, with the "Heavy hangs the head..." effectively employed and re-enforced by the later repetition. Sorcerers always seem to be the bad guys, except for Merlin and the Witch of the East. Cheers my friend! - Dan

I totally agree overlord all the way if I have a choice. I wrote this a while back, my attempt at a heavy metal song. the art work comes from a band called "Molly Hatchet" They always had this kind of imagery on their album covers. as for the wicked witch I had to ask my girl what movie it was from 'cause I honestly have never seen that one ....people tell me that's weird. lol. Cheers my friend
