Love.lies

By Lady Grinning Soul

Your kisses leave a
bitter.
        sweet
taste to my lips-
                        rancid
chocolate.

Lacerating love.lies into my
skin
etching half truths
broken promises

      shades

into the walls of my heart as if
it were nothing
more
than a chew toy for you
to spit out when
shredded
to
copious amounts of
damp scraps of
cloth

in the corner of the room.

  A
         Gray
   Black
mass of beating blood
rushing through
your
hands .

My eyes were always the blindest
{Hand.stitched.shut}}
when it came to you,

       blind...

Even as you dangled our love
over the opal blue flames,
laughing as the
      last
heartstring
slipped from your
cigarette stained fingertips

crushing me

                  like a full

    on

          collision.

And.
even as you squeeze the lifeforce from my
heart
        and soul...

my eyes blink open,
the lies etched into my
collarbones
bleeding profusely onto the
ground
beneath our feet

my lips still whisper my love for you.

Excellent piece! I love the swirling, confused, disturbing imagery that nonetheless ends with the lines "my lips still whisper my love for you." Nice! Ciao, T/S Scholar

The only word I can think of to describe this is intense. Great write!
