Incursion
By Sean Mc Shane
Face down at the bottom of your shallow dream
familiar faces seen and yet I still wonder
will any of the Immortals ever compromise ?
No . . . Our sky remains Their under
So in a timeless question's fading subject
the universal mystery will be pulled from the Earth
the present and future will blend in blood
misplacing my existence - mistaking my worth
With my mortal words sealed within a golden scroll
I presented the awkward gift to Them
taking it all as an act of aggression
another blooming rose is cut from a dying stem . . .

This is full of thought, of questions... we all question that of what we are unable to comprehend. The last line makes me think of tending to a rose bush... cutting the bloom to save the stem from dying... at any rate I believe your worth is as high as any...

Since souls are deliberately sent here, to this world where one must consume the bodies of other lifeforms to survive.I can't help but realize our Creator is nothing more than a criminally insane immortal humanoid.Nice work.

The power we possess is beyond our limited understanding... swallow down that gift with aggression. The strong rule... and so does this poem... awesome inking :)~
