The Lost Pieces

By brokensme

Lost pieces
Falling out
Gone
All because of who we trusted with us

Can't find the pieces
They wont give them back
They are going to keep it
But we have their pieces hostage too

Burning to fill the holes
Cure our illness
We do what we can
To fix an unfixable problem

We fill the hole with lost memories
Depression and anger
Guilt and sorrow
Pain

Afraid to let go
Fill in the hole
Trust another
With our souls

Ruined by those in our past
The ones we thought would last
The ones who treat us like trash
But we never see it

Too late
Its only us that we will hate
It will not be the true offender
It is only us

Blnded by what could have been
Wishing as life passes us by
Sitting in the corner wishing we'd die
Not going to those who care

Cleaning out the hole
Pushing everyone away
Not wanting to get close
Still afrade

The closest one
Takes the bigest fall
The one who cares the most
Can only watch as you run

As they said in Physics class "Nature abhors a vacuum" and your metaphor was indeed perfect (I use plastic wood), cheers!
