Loner

Loner

By: Alexis Manley

I am a loner
I do not travel in groups

I hunt alone
I eat alone
I sleep alone
no one to warm my bed side

As if I really needed someone
Thinking only of what to wear tomarrow
Thinking like whats the smell on the breeze
A huntress of sorts

A believer of all things mythical
Lover of faerie kings
Lover of the night
Lover of no man

I feel love for only those who love me back
I feel that my heart is made of stone at times
I feel the night air encircling me
Encased in a jeweled box are my feelings

I sleep with a shot gun barrel next to my bed
I sleep with a knife under my pillow
I live with my parents
My father guards me as if I were a precious item

My father and I are two loners a lot alike
My mother and I share our moments but nothing more
My mother and I share our bull- headednesss
My mother and I are two that butt heads

But I?
But a simple loner....
To all that I am and all that I should be
