but I couldnt
go today
Because questions would be asked
about the bruises on
my face

I like building
sandcastles
and making mud pies
I like laying outside
and
gazing up at the stars
No school today
cigarette burns on my
arms
My name is Sarah
and Im only five
I had my whole
life
ahead of me
Until the day that I died
Last night I
was killed
by my father himself
Only heaven can wait
as
I have escaped my hell
