The Wanderer
By With love_Crow
I find my home amongst strangers
For the best of me has gone
To cater to the worst of you
To the ruins of your pitiful soul
Have you one to save?
I seek blindly in the darkest
Spaces
where demons dwell
Searching for your spirit
Broken and
shackled to
The corpse of your baptized essence
Will God set
you free?
Will Hell offer you new irons?
I offer myself
like a
Sacrificial lamb to the beasts
The devils of your tempest
But your nature is unforgiving
Bruising and untamed
I
fear the lose of me
Though so long as yours wonders
So does
mine seek.

This is pretty awesome. We both have a poem titled "The Wanderer". But I'd prefer yours, I really like the wording. Especially "Spaces where....Spirit."

Awesome piece. An angsty acceptance of a darkness that will never go away. The third stanza is excellent.

Wow I really love how you connected love with despair. This poem reminds me of some of Edgar Allan Poes works. Nicely done.

This is a very tragic poem. It appears that even when you reach the one you want, you will only find despair and emptiness, because the one you seek is the one who causes you pain. You only know pain, so pain is all you know to look for. If my interpretation is off, please forgive me. However, this is very lovely, yet dark and tragic.
