jeans & leather
By FadedBlues
how many of us sit in a lonely room
at a lonely computer
writing lonely lonely poems
mine rebel at being confined
so i dress them in
faded blues, motorcycle boots,
black t-shirts, distressed leather
jackets,
don't forget the sunglasses
& they
rush out the door
like runaways, to shatter the night
rattle the lethargy
make a noise that matters...
bind with others of your kind
* stain * the * sky *
with * fireworks *
make little poem babies
agonize
the world
with lonely songs

Can't believe I haven't caught up with this before. The rocker in me loves the title and descriptors and the poet loves the work. They only fight occasionally.

DMH might be thinking "antagonize" but then that would change the message too. This was superb and I know the feeling of having to get something out when it comes with an inspiration, much like this poem I'd guess, thanks FB.
