from outer space to my heart

By ruthless48

we lie in bed
face to face
you're dreaming now
i'm awake
92,900,000 miles away
a sunbeam has left
and is coming this way
through it's blanket of gas
and exploding chromosphere
your sunbeam travels 186,000
miles per second to get here
from outer space
it peeks through my shade
lands on your cheek
now you're awake
your hand reaches out
and softly brushes my hair
the hint of your smile is
already not there
the sunbeam escapes behind the morning mist
and you   to your dreams   as sleep now insists
but the warmth of your sunbeam
though no longer there
travels down from the strands of my hair
touched by your hand
until it reaches my heart
and there creates a glow
is this a new beginning?
a new start?
