Today I broke, today was bad
The worst it's ever been
Don't think that I can take another
Today like that again

I've never felt that all alone
Still searching through my mind
Trying to find an overlooked way out
And running out of time

The gun is lying close at hand
But I thought of what they'd find
Sleeping pills? That's a better idea
No mess to leave behind

In dire straits I start to write
This note that would be my last
But these words you see are what came out
Once more I've gotten past

Is there something good to come of this?
If it's good I made it through
But one more day that's like today
I'm no longer strong enough to do
