The Father's Lullaby

By Deviated09

Hush little child, your time for sleep is near.
I'll protect you throughout, you've nothing to fear.
This darkness shall not overtake you tonight,
for there will be me to maintain the moonlight.
Just hold on to me as tight as you have to.
I'll keep you smiling, you just might laugh too.
So sleep well, rest your young head again.
I'll be your soldier, your strongest tribesman.

I like this I Have a great deal of respect for good fathers, I. Didn't have one and I always wondered how different I would have been if I did or maybe not at all, very good writing sounds very sacred.
