Oblivious Imaginations of the World

By Doc

Oblivious
Yes, that's what they call it
Void of all reason
And some rhyme
Numb to the logic of chance
And the instability of the
Secure.

She know what its like
Existing day to day
Living in the endless monotony
Of a life near-lived
Yes
She nearly meets a bus on the freeway
A near life experience.

Alas what is life
Is it chance
Or destiny
Illusion
Or imagined
To the woman it is all
But she also knows
That it is none.

She missed the bus today
Missed it on its way
To Paradise.

She found a train instead
She alluded the truth
In the fakery of destiny
It alluded her all the way
To her end
Living life in the pursuit of something
Something real
Something alive.

That which she searched
It is no longer real or alive
But when she fell to sleep
Empty glass falling out of her hand
Unfinished vodka on the floor
She fell into the peaceful serenity
Of a damaged sleep

And she imagined.
