Unsaid
By darling93demon
so many words were left unsaid
when you departed from this world.
i never took the chance
to tell you how i loved you.
i
was paranoid and scared
too fearful of rejection
and terrified
of the happiness
that i could have felt.
too shy to
ask you to dance
though my dream
was to be in your chisled
arms
and we spun around in never ending circles.
all the
words unsaid
could fill the pages of a novel.
but i suppose,
now, even in death
i could tell you everything.
i stand
over your grave now.
letting the confessions flow out
like
the blood that ran down your neck.
i pretend that you feel the
same.
i close my eyes
and hold out my trembling hands
as i begin to waltz with the air
and the imaginary vision of
you.
your crooked smile reveals its self
as you place
your arm around my waist.
and you sway me back and forth
for
hours, until the sun set on the horizon.
a cold wind hits
me
and my eyes suddenly open.
i realize once more, that your
gone
i fall and cry.
knowing that its too late,
and
that you will never truly know
that i would have been your everything
if you had wanted me like i wanted you.
you were mine for
one last night
as we danced on your grave
to the sweet sound
of nothing
and the smell of sadness.
but we will meet
again
when it becomes my time
to join you in eternal love
and in death.

Starkly sad and depressing. The mourning or a lost and unrequited lover. Very well written piece and thanks for sharing - but I don't think you'll have to wait very long for a replacement, cheers!

I felt this should have been the last stanza, you`re current one could`ve remained unspoken, but that`s just one opinion. Overall I loved this read, felt such primal yearning and sadness. Good work!
