Laudations for Lunatics

By Blood Saga

Have you ever considered
how God
is an overused cliche?

And what does this say
about us?

You ask too many questions,

. . . answered God.

.

.

.

Then they'll all come down
from the rooftops, or so this story goes,
smiling senselessly into the night . . .
(dried blood under harsh light)
and we'll all look the other way . . .

Ascend the wooden stairs
to your attic-heaven, where you
can watch time unfold
from a safer distance . . .

Lunatics. Heh. I've always wondered what would happen to the person who so intensely believed in God only to die and never see an inkling of a "holy spirit". Great write.
