Smeared Lipstick
By: Alexis Manley
torn tatteredon the edge of no return
on the brink of where to turn
shunned by most
smearing my lipstick across my face much like war paint
i hear him cry but it is faint
i stunned you all with my little stunt
now you can me a cunt
whos the real slut?
whos the one that only wanted you?
whos the only one who loved you?
treat me like shit?
I'll show you!
I'll show you all with my smeared lipstick!
death to life i used to live
life to the life i am now to create
were you my ONLY mistake?
I felt the passion never
I felt the love never
I will forver never never
do i believe?
do i see it?
blinded by the reveries of flash bulbs glistening here and there.
water like blood
blood like rdeath on my door step
somber sleep walking step by step
i need you no more
i let go
i breathe in relief
wait.... can i breathe? yes i can and its deep like the ocean
symbols on my face.... my war paint... smeared lipstick.... i am... the one who walks untouched by the zombified nail biters.... clear cut signs cut out of the fabric on the tapestries of time
spurn me once more
burn me once more
hurt me no more
blind no more
hit me and i will hit back with words so bitter they are filled with venom....
i will be hurt no more
smeared lipstick upon the face of an innocent
i will bear no mans name but my fathers
i will listen only to the wise who speak to those who listen
fantasy of war paint
killed the little girl who was simply sad
never given once a chance to shine
I will beat the memories from my head
I will defeat the monster of this place
smeared lipstick like war paint upon the face of the lioness rampant
rain like wine
given the boot
given the bloodlust
given the hurt and anger
i bleed in vain
i seep into your sleep
I am your beautiful nightmare
wispers of false pretences
perscribe me more pills.... i shall devour them
they say the magic is in the make up
i say the magics in the break up
something to be said
