Zombie Anthem

By Malcholm Dark

Isaiah 26 & 28
Your covenant with death will be annulled and your agreement with
hell will not stand. When the overwhelming scourge passes through,
you will be beaten down by it. As it passes through, it will take you,
and you will know the sheer terror of this message.

We felt important but twisted, and we have given birth to the wind.
We have accomplished no deliverance in the earth and the inhabitants
of the world have not fallen.

Your dead shall live, their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust
awake and cry out your anthem.  For your dew is the dew of light and
the earth will give birth to the dead.  Come my people, enter your
chambers and shut the doors behind you.  Hide yourselves until the
fury has passed.

Cremation, now that is the way to go
Your ashes are scattered here and there
Many happy places when you were alive
When people return, you are remembered.

My vanity would have none of that foolishness
All the latest techniques to preserve my body
Eternal sleep within a padded bronze coffin
And one last grand showing before I am buried.

Man, did I make the wrong choice.

--Now I am a zombie
living life in horrid ways.
--Evil is inside me
here within the end of days.

Feel the threshing of angel wings
See the descent, angelic soldiers
Feel the dragon, a presence hidden
See his zombies filling the cities.

The battle lines are drawn by warlords
The lights of good and shades of black
The stars slip away, black skies above
The war for heaven spills out on earth.

Man, did I make the wrong choice.

--Now I am a zombie
living life in horrid ways.
--Evil is inside me
here within the end of days.

Thus begins the Apocalypse
Where good and evil collide
I have myself a front row seat
Hear my anthem, I am zombie!

Another amazing piece my friend, I always wondered what being a zombie must be like. To be condemned to a rotting tomb of your own flesh, wandering about without a single trace of your humanity and knowing only destruction, write on. Scholar
