Sweet Dreams
By Rowan
Tear drops dampen the pillow
which I scream,
you're still breathing in my tormenting dreams.
A longing for life to suddenly waste me away,
to a kingdom by the
sea where your spirit stays.
Close my eyes and I see the edges of
your face,
blurred memories faded...
I can not replace.
Buried beneath the white sand of the shore,
ashes scattered in the blue of the ocean floor.
Rays of gold shining
upon waves so serene,
your figure waiting for my hand only I can see.
Sparkling sand carried on the light breeze,
the soul of you gliding
on the silent seas.
Your smile welcomes and your kiss so sweet,
embrace me softly with your touch's searing heat.
Lips so tender
and eyes filled with Heaven's light,
fire of my soul the burning flame
now ignites.
Cry for me and weep words of wonder,
waves crash
and comes the sound of thunder.
Please don't leave me again
all alone,
your light fades and you turn to stone.
Night ensues
and the waters become black,
I would give my life to have you back.
You left me once; don't leave me forever,
You can't leave just yet...
no...never...
I pound the pillow and grab my sheets,
twisted
in my sorrow I bleed.
The tears rush, my eyes shut tight,
the
waves drown as I try to fight.
My eyes open as I hear my fading screams,
every night....
it's
the same tormenting dream.

-Heart breaks- So much of this relates to the loss of my brother. Missing a loved one is a real life hell. Even though memories of him are sweet...the absence is torment. This is a beautiful piece Rowan.

Exceptional. Every line was beautifully written and the writing put me right into the story mentally. I really really enjoyed this read.
