The moon drips on my face
I lay tranquil in
darkness
Lost in my emptiness
I sigh with the loss of everything
that ever meant anything
I rise from my slumber
Plucking
fruit from the tree
It withers beneath my touch
I've slept
too long with the loss of you
I missed the taint created in the void
I miss my soul buried at my feet
Looking at the world through
vacant eyes
Colors bled dry
Bleak shades of grey
I miss
the signs of life
The winds whisper insanities in my ear
But the madness already fills my head
Snow falls upon
the surface of the lake in which I wait
Bathed in onyx waters
Reflecting
obscenities born inside my heart
Mists rise up to obscure lost
humanity
I am a beautiful, empty ruin
I found my angel
here
Midnight entered my soul with her deceit
I still feel her
annnointed claws deep in my flesh
My skin still bears the burns of
her self-righteous tongue
My scars gleam silver with the touch
of moonlight
Showing me the reality I hide from myself
Now it's
so clear
The flaws I tried to deny
And I stumble through
the snowfall
Tears fall as the stars shine
Clinging to
my bitterness
I keep grasping hope
Which slips through
my fingers like blood
