Saved (pt. 1)

By jajang829

She walks across the room

Dragging her hatred like a veil

Rage pulsing thru her veins

Bringing in a world of doom

A moment passes thru her eyes and all is well

Only she knows the troubles he can bring

Though her heart surely tries to scream

Wallowing in the depths of hell

She hangs on with all her might

Afraid to be freed from her past of pain

While raging against the bonds that keep her

And the darkness which obscures her sight

An angel disguised demon bound her here

Once trapped she saw the evil unveiled

Tearing her apart from the inside he began

Binding her stronger thru fear

He tore her down to the heart

Stamping in self-hatred and loathing

She tried to fight his ways till she bled

Giving love to a soul that was harsh

The demon slipped away one night

Running in fear of her righteousness and beauty

Even still keeping control within reach

As the darkness crept in compounding her plight

She fought the fear screaming out for help

His attacks from the dark almost keeping her down

Lashing back she attacked with her own pain

Feeling the sting he pushed back and she let out a yelp

Down and beaten she tried to breathe

Praying vehemently to her God

Begging for a reprieve that she couldn’t accept

Tentacles of the beast around her seethed

Out of the darkness a savior called out

Not even realizing what his role would be

He is a ghost from the past before her darkness

Seeking with ears that heard her shout

The savior’s strength was true and his heart was ready

He found her lying in the darkness

Hiding in the comfort of the pain she knows

He stood her up weak but steady

With the light he brought he could see

A beauty inside her greater than all the world

One he remembered drawing him here

He promised all she wants shall be

He untied the binds and unlocked her heart

A glorious light shown out of her

Bringing with it a joy to all around

Awakening her soul with a start

She told him of the beast that is near

Cried to him the horrors she had endured

He pulled her close as she shuddered

Holding her tighter as the beast let out a sneer
