sweet dreams

By SourInnocence

Sweet dreams my love, crawl between the warm sheets.
Nuzzle up close to your pillow.
Lie on your side and pretend that I’m there
Never wanting to let go.
Watch the clock as you drift away
Into dreams where I love you.
Dream about the things you’ll never have
And the things you’ll never do.
Toss and turn while the minutes tick by
And your sweet dream sours.
Dream about loving without love in return.
And the tears that fall for hours.
Roll about grasping for someone to hold,
Without finding a loving touch in return.
Dream about all the things that you need,
And about everything you yearn.
Sweet dreams my love, between the warm sheets,
With your face buried deep in the pillow.
Lie on your side and pretend that I’m there
Even though I’ve let go long ago.

The whole piece is very well put together. Dancing towards the end. And the end ... Well the end was just. I think I will say rare in a way, becouse you seem to nail what many try to in it with ease. Great work.
