See through me

By BeautifullyRuined

trying to fall back into love
but it`s kind of hard to do
when memories seperate us by miles
and the only time i smile
is when i think of ways to hurt you

When you cry
I feel alive

the salt in your tears
is the only thing that fills the cracks
in my heart
and breaking you
like you broke me
is the only way to make myself
whole again

it seems we`ve switched places
and the space between my heart
and the box that holds a voice
that was silent for far too long
is a distance you could never span

and the words that drip from my lips
and into your ear
are sharp enough to cut through stone

i never scream
because i`ve found lies have a greater impact
when whispered

you really should see through me
when i tell you i dont want to be with you
yet my head is still pressed againt your chest
waiting to hear a crack

a crack that shows you care

i like this piece for how it illicits reactions and a cold burning sensation...that is about all i can say for now

"I never scream..." that section got me. Great job. Hey, maybe I'm being presumptious, but did you leave an "r" out of your title? anyway, very expressive.
