Snowy Pines

A long path goes from the stony withered garden
Now seldom trodden upon, it heads deep in wild
Where the owls compose and the deeper you go there
To the folding labyrinth with nobody else
The profounder’s the magic of the frozen time

From afar blows the wind, from a place with no guards
Kingdom of furry fairy tales and glowing ice
A forest glade with an old cabin made of wood
That could be the humble keep I’ve always stood for
So now I stay in my realm, I open the door
The long unheard music from ‘neath the snowy pines
