  • "audibly: 'out loud' condemn: 'to declare to be reprehensible' the life of a soldier: 'killing things'. there now you can put a bow on it."

  • "you weary me. merriam-webster's definition of war: 1 a (1): a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations (2): a period of such armed conflict (3): state of war b: the art or science of warfare c (1)obsolete : weapons and equipment for war (2)archaic : soldiers armed and equipped for war2 a: a state of hostility, conflict, or antagonism b: a struggle or competition between opposing forces or for a particular end c: variance, odds 3 — war·less Listen to the pronunciation of warless \-ləs\ adjective . so yes, many conflicts can be classified as war. i wonder if you are being stubborn or stupid, but either way i will clarify. I DON'T LIKE THAT YOU KILL PEOPLE. MY MORAL OPPOSITION TO WAR AND OUR ENTIRE DEBATE HAS BEEN CENTERED AROUND THE AMORALITY OF ARMED CONFLICT AND THE DESTRUCTION OF HUMAN LIFE. so, according to merriam-webster, online, you can define you sending your children to their room and them not wanting to go as a war between you and your kids. however, most intelligent people would not do so, they'd reserve terms like 'variance' and 'odds' for those situations and then use words like war for the situations for which they are generally"

  • "no, specifically a call to a general strike. it's a form of resistance that is more extreme in power than the threat of men bringing death... the difficulty in accomplishing it however is the difficulty of achieving solidarity and the will for the oppressed to act through the fear imposed by the violence of men with guns that take their orders blindly from a superior and act to defend not the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness but the property rights of the privileged few. further, if i look at the methods of destroying the privileged few i arrive at two simple conclusions, 1) kill them to take away their privileges and redistribute them or 2) take away their privileges and redistribute them through the power of overwhelming community sentiment. the first way is the easy way. the way of wars, guns and military. the second way is the way of social reform. that's why the last lines of the poem are not: 'lets us raise our guns together... etc...' but, 'let us raise our voices...'. this is why i find it important to audibly condemn the choice of the life of a soldier. i use my voice to fight for what i believe in. remember kent state. remember jackson state."

  • "it's cute when angry youngsters attempt sacrilege. the funny thing is that nowhere in this piece do you escape the judeo-christian model of existence to present one of your own. it's the christians who speak of an anti-christ, shit, an anti-christ REQUIRES a christ. you speak of hating god as if he were real. that seems retarded. i can dig it if you feel that god is a lie and you want to expose the ignorance of a belief system that you find oppressive... however, what you do is find the mode WITHIN THE CHRISTIAN BELIEF SYSTEM that makes you a rebel rebel... so revel on rebel, revel in the devil revel in the anti-christ revel in the black that is only the other side of white... i like green though. maybe purple. • "y'know... i just got done "chatting" with you on the chatterbox and although i've decided rather quickly that i don't much like you i do have to say that your poetry is pretty good. i like the simplicity with which you deliver more complicated raw ideas."

  • "cj, what do you mean by 'work', how would 'it' working silence anyone in high chairs? ... that this is the first comment on this piece is deliciously ironic... at least in so far as i took the write and comment to heart. anyway: JONAS WAS HERE!!!!"

  • "if you are trying to 'get' this poem and are trying to hit near what i was writing about, i will tell you that you are way off. this is not about a person, a relationship, or even personal relationships in general. further, i'd like to note that YOU have added the word "cold" to my black coffee... this is an incredibly powerful word, a word that i left out of this piece as its symbolism didn't fit... so take care in noting what you bring to the poem and what is given. i'll stop short of defining the feelings that birthed this writing, however, you begin to get closer to the theme when you say "maybe you were too sure of yourself"... anyway, thank you for the in depth comment and the chance to think critically about my own work and discuss it a little bit. (an aside: i told you that if you were trying to hit a mark you were missing it... however, if you choose to digest this poem one way or the other that is totally your business and you'd always be correct, the only reason i felt it necessary to reply to your comment is because you used a question mark... meaning: you're not wrong, but this is my answer)"

  • "you need to get back to your roots sir and eat some e.e.cummingsforbreakfastlunchanddinner ... i too was thrown off initially, however, i quickly fell in love with the mechanic as i let myself feel the way the words were spelled accepting stutters and delays as the natural reaction that the symbols would take. *** lovechild gets my vote for raddest superbaddest poet of the day for this poem."
