  • "If the dead could really feel(but then, perhaps they do) this would possibly be the top regret ...ver line was like a slowly hammered blow to the heart. Thanks for sharing and getting me thinking ."

  • " I rhymed for 30+ plus years, when I stepped out of that box I never looked back. Now I write free verse (on the odd occasion a certain form) Rhyming restricted me so much with word usage, now I can use whatever words I desire. Good on you for going in a different direction, it makes things more interesting. Great stuff :) "

  • "Loved it, black is imagination and where we hide it's the leaves that cover a cold dead corpse or the peace where a mother sleeps. Great job "

  • "I really like this :) until the sixth stanza I thought I had a fairly good idea of where this was going then *BAM* I love the concept and how you drew me in deeper and deeper; leaving a mark that refuses to be discarded. "

  • "oh yeah, im loving this, it is kind of on the morbid side and that's always a plus in my book. this flowed very well the rhyming is perfect and the story line is awesome. I to imagined a park and not a cemetery. and even then you never reveal a graveyard which leaves it open for interpretation. I think your on to something Caitlin, keep writing in this style because I loved the twist and I loved the suspense and I also loved that until the end the impact was not what could be predicted. that's great writing. awesome!"

  • "haha I used to hang around a person like this, constantly feeding my dark side. theres many shades of black in the dark, anywhere from depression to just down right evil, and everything in between. my favorite shade of black is the kind when people go out of there way to judge you as evil and dark and scary and creepy. I always just say, thank you! because that's the intention, that's what I feel inside and black is just the reflection I cast. and I cant be damned by being happy. excellent poem, short and sweet and very blunt and effective, a clear picture and its awesome Caitlin."
