"your ability to meld sarcasm and balck humour with something topical or daily is what gives the piece its weight....obviously you start with a light-hearted...dare I say almost cringe-worthy saccharine tone, that eventually gives way to something more sinister...yet you still play with the trope of ice cream as something tasty, almost innocent; youthful...the clmic line "you do not give me brain freeze" was a treat all its own...I don't think I've seen 'brain freeze' referenced in a poem...until now! Fun, quirky; flippant stuff....I enjoyed it and now crave Blood-Flavoured Ice Cream....let me at ya freezer...."
