  • "And what have you written now? They are only hearts. You've written them down and now they are beating in my eyes, thumping in my brain. What a gentle penning this is, which I find unusual for you...but, then again, you are different, aren't you? "

  • "The spelling of 'thru' creates a visual rhyme with 'urn'--a highly effective literary device that is seldom used. "Picket lashes" denotes BEAUTIFUL style and a fantastic talent for comparative figures of speech. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work. The topic really draws one in..."

  • ""It'll be different tomorrow, Maybe." - probably not, but you captured this state well. I love the imagery of walking past each other like glaciers...glaciers on fire. Painfully slow, but destined to melt. : ) Ciao, T/S"

  • "Great to see a new piece from you! The lines "Things can get ordinary Things can become stale and die, but freedom Freedom of the soul is accepting the fact That sometimes things can get boring" hold a tremendous amount of truth... You often hear someone going on about how boring their relationship has gotten, or how "stale" and "smothered" they are feeling...which is a focus on an external factor. Sometimes it IS an external factor that is making someone unhappy...but often, it is something they actually have control over in terms of attitude and initiative. I am reminded of a quote by Hemingway, "You can’t get away from yourself by moving from one place to another," which could be altered to "from one relationship to another". Excellent piece, glad to see you posting again! Ciao, T/S"
