History

By GothicBlack

I’ve spent too much time
Without company
This means I can not see
Beyond the obscurity
There is a gap
In my memory
And its hanging here empty
Infected and festering
Swollen
In my head
It won’t let me forget
What it is
That I am
So desperately
Missing

And I’m not myself
With the black velvet
And sparkling silver
That was once me
And I’ve been consumed
By a never ending love
A drained existence

There is a grave
Just beyond my sight
And I worship my memories
Those perfect times
When I was happy
The perfect kind of friendships
But the past has been put to sleep

I have an empty hole in my heart
And only my history can fill it
But I am already dead
