Bombs on Bush
By AppleDumpling
Our country is a beacon
For every one to see
And others want to join us
To live in harmony
But Bush wants to rule to world
So he stood before our nation
And lied to you and me
He told us of these weapons
That would anilate us all
How Iraq is harboring terrorist
So we must make them fall
He sent our bombers to their land
Killing everyone in sight
I hung my head in sorrow
For I did not like the fight
Children crying in the streets,
Looking for their folks
But they were dead upon the land
The children were alone
Now ours are dying over there
Fighting Bush’s war
While his are safe at home
Nixon brought our troops back
From a war they could not win
Its time for congress
To bring them home again.

You know, I'm not a fan of rhyming...but that's because people usually can't pull it off too well. But you my dear pull it off with ease. This was sad...very sad. Welcome to dp.

The truth of this makes me want to cry. Having my own family in the middle east, and knowing I may one day soon be there as well, leaving mine behind.... -Heather-

Wow, You should passion in pain. Although I do agree with the war and do agree with it. I do understand your point of view on this. I guess only time will tell if this war is a complete waste of time or not.

I was going to write something for my school in the perspective of a child from Iraq to raise awareness of the propaganda Bush has used on us. I imagined no one would take it seriously; but i completely agree with this poem.

meh. solid thought, but i was definitely expecting something more. In a sense, you have my agreement; in another, it's much deeper than that. America hasn't been a beacon for freedom for..... at least forty years; talk to a foreigner ;)

This was sad to read, I don't like the war myself, and I like Bush even less because we are not doing anything there except for killing innocent people.

it's sad to think about what goes on every day, and just because we're not there and seeing it first hand doesn't mean we sould take it any more lightly. to many people have been lost, it's past time they were all home.

Too sad, with their parents wondering too, wandering in search of their young, dead or mutilated...in far too many lands. Well written, but extremely sad and disgraceful topic.
