Falling
By jack paper
I sat by her side for hours
Praying crying pleading singing
My sisters would come and go
A priest and others too drifted
In and out of darkness
Tears there were so many
A solitary pool gathered
At the corner of her eye
As if she shared our sorrow
I watched it run slowly
To the middle of her cheek
Oasis in a parched land
I stood to get a tissue
Could taste my own tears
I reached down to touch her
I Lost my balance
Put out my hands to stop
She’ll be crushed!
But I never touched
My hands they went through
No substance, she wasn’t there
In that instance I felt myself
Falling through time and space
Forever, endless, nothing
I woke up where she had been
In the bed, in her space
I had taken her place.

Whoa that was pretty cool how that flowed together. Good way of describing sadness

This was excellent and I particularly liked the way the poem turned after the 2nd half of the 2nd stanza. Write the hell on..
