Warrior Song

By LOKI

He walks on the blood stained grass
through the battlefield
in a war of hate
He see's death spread as a mass
with an unseen hunger
to desomate

Disaster emeges from all around
as if it had fallen
from the starless sky
He falls onto the blood soaked ground
in desperation
to hide his eyes

Suddenly
things flash in his mind
Memories from another time
When war was fake
and the guns were'nt real
And he only had to pretend to kill

Then there was a feeling
as if he'd been hit
in his chest by a thousand fists
As he lay still waiting to die
I want to go home
his very last cry

The second to the last stanza is killer, I read it and was like damn I wish I would have wrote that.

Home to me is kind of far away. I think of what may have happened if I did not get injured, as I was set to go into the army.As so many fear what will happen to loved ones or mourn this already
