As Life Stumbles On

By GothicBlack

Regardless of what one thinks
Nothing is every truly right
Something always falters

The pages crumble in my hand
As my mind freezes cold

No matter what one assumes
Life just seems to go wrong
Something always hits the wall

My face a punching bag for words
Rules diminish my ability to feel

And at this very moment
I’m delusional in mind
I’m dissatisfied with life

Dreams stop breathing
As my mouth goes death dry

You see time just keeps on going
As my life stops before my eyes
Unable to seize my moments
Incapable of dealing with my feelings

The hope for my life has wavered
And I’m stranded in my distress and troubles
