Wrong Words

Why do I always
End up saying
The wrong thing
At the wrong time

Is it
My karma
Or am I
Just a bitch

I try
To cheer him up
But just end up
Making him feel worse

Why cant I ever
Say the right thing
And tell him
Everything's alright,
Everything'll be okay

The words I say
End up hurting him more
When they were supposed
To make him hurt less

I feel the need
To try and cheer him up
But in the end
It just never works

I love him
To death
But I just can't show him
In the right way

Although sometimes
I say the right thing
I guess it's never enough
To make him quit his unhealthy ways

I try to cheer him
Get rid of his blues
But in the end
It never works

I wish
He would
Just open up,
Tell me what's wrong,
And what I can do
To help....
