by the tears of self-hatred

your eyes dilated
by this drug you created...

and I just thought you should know
that when it's your time to go...
as life slips from you ever

And I'm going to watch the life drain from your body...

And as it does, I'll hope
that in those last precious moments
you saw things a little clearer
