refract

By edenscancer

The streetlights glow like lightning bugs glued to metal rods
Casting empty shadows that remind me of everything I'm not
Laying in my mind the sick grows too large to hide
It creeps and it slides, it slithers inside
It walks and it talks but its not alive
This soul is an open hole to the solitude engrossing me
words are useless to describe this opiate induced misery
It sucks and seeps where widows grieve
six feet to silence and six feet deep
where it creeps and slides and slithers inside
where it walks and talks but is not alive
Where it's name is no one and it's face is mine
It looks back from the mirror and a small piece
inside me dies

reverberating throughout the hollows of empty...such a powerful flow and powerful punch of a feeling that gnaws upon our bones...
