She's broken inside

By rainbowgoth

She goes through the day
Like nothing ever happened
It's better that way
Then they won't ask questions
And she won't have to expalin
She just keeps it all inside
But when she goes home
She runs to her room
And the rivers stream down her cheeks
Tears that flow like raindrops
On a wet spring day
She tries not to thinka bout it
But she can't help it
And she constantly replays their conversation in her head
Hoping that maybe there was something she missed
But there isn't
And she knows this
And she can't figure out why
His words stung as much as they did
She knew it wasn't gonna last
It ended like she said it would
She didn't break his heart
Instead he broke hers
