I Don't Want To Wake

Here I lie waiting to die
Lost inside a heart so cold
My darkest fear has come to life
And no one can save my soul

Inside of my mind
Where no one can reach me
Away from my pain
And sorrow so unreal

Feelings seem so hollow
Forever falling down
Into my own darkness
A soul that cannot feel

I don't want to wake from dreams
(so far away)
I want to stay inside myself
(where I am safe)
So please don't let me wake
(To face reality)
I want to be safe inside of me

In my dark reprieve
I lie and wait so still
Light cannot be found
Shadows seem to hide

Lost in my soul
Where rain drops whisper
And wind faintly breaths
Whispering to me

I don't want to wake from dreams
(so far away)
I want to stay inside myself
(where I am safe)
So please don't let me wake
(To face reality)
I want to be safe inside of me

And when I fall asleep again I can be free
Away from all the pain and lies
No longer will I face the day with a broken heart
No longer can you see sorrow in shadowed eyes
