Begotten
By Doc
Love calloused and remorsed
Pain and degradation
Honor and nobility
Passed through the eye of a needle
Assaulted from the outside world within
It is not as if God does not exist
He simply revels within us
Throughout humanity
In the form of a beggar
Or a bum knee
The essence of the world
Strained and cracked
A broken arrow through a rusty heart
Filled with the memories of an ever living dream

Brilliant, Herr Doktor! The middle stanza alludes to so much. I enjoy imagining God could be a searcher amongst us

I agree with Bard here.. I've heard it said that God hides himself within all things.. a game of immortal hide and seek, for the very thought of immortality or the knowing of all would get tiresome real quick. This was a great write! ~b
