Nickels and Dimes

Nickels and Dimes

I don't feel how you feel
And I don't think how you think
I have my own purposes
And I'm on my brink

The end may not be the same
For me as it is for you
So try and let me go
Remember it's my life too

I have my own things in mind
And I've made my own plans
I know you're really not so blind
Yea I hate your hands

You raised me up well
From the dirt to gold in the sky
Now let me alone to stay or jump
And I'll learn to fly

You say the Earth wasn't made over night
You're half right and lacking your own advice
To be exact, it took seven
God didn't sleep; it would have taken too long

Bravo! Quite well said. Very succinct and clear headed. I hope the subject(s) of this receive from as mature a place as you have written it. Very well done!
