Smiling At Mona Lisa

Smiling At Mona Lisa

Look at you
Up on the wall
You thought you were great
That you had it all

I could tell from your lips
That you were a bitch
Sapping off of others
Burning, an unreachable itch

Now look at you
Still got that stupid smile
What did it ever mean anyway
It reminds me of the taste of bile

Scalding your throat
And making you gag
That's what I enjoyed most
Before I hung you up next to the flag

The fleshen bag, a flag pestilence
My heart, there it flies
Hanging on the end of your hair
Pinned up higher in the order that love dies

First a heart
Then his soul
Too bad for you
The wretched corpse is your role

Things didn't have to come to this
No, they didn't have to
There were other ways
But you wouldn't believe it when I told you

You just kept your grim smile
Left me hanging in the air
Wouldn't give me another chance
The love, obviously, was more than I could bear

Come on damn it
Give me something more
Than your stupid little smile
You know I loved you, you Mona Lisa-whore
