If you held a frozen hand

By Dr Benway

If you knew you would most likely fall,
would you walk a tight rope anyway?
What would need to be on the other side?
What is your life worth to you?

Weary, unable to pull away.
judgement, numb and bleeding.
devotion or destruction,
only time will tell.

If you were hanging from a ledge,
would you give up and let go?
or would you hold on till the bitter end?
What is your life worth to you?

Hours upon hours,
tongue slipping, scars revealed.
passion or poison,
only time will tell.

If you held a frozen hand,
would you try and warm it?
or would you reach for another?
What is this all worth to you?

only time will tell,
only time will tell...

Poison or passion... I'm in love with these words. Certainly, the pace flows almost musically.

That was perfect! The fears the rewards, always at odds and not always as obvious at it would seem.

It's worth everything, and time has told me so. So to answer your questions, I would walk the tightrope for the adventure and exhilleration. I would never let go (titanic flashback) and I would hold on to that damn hand as long as I could.

This is what we call a thought provoking piece. And it provoked thought when my head hurt, so you suck.
