Pretty Little Punk Girl

By stuart_pid

(honestly, im not sure why i even bothered to write this down, but i did, so here it is.)

Pretty little punk girl,
with pink hair and a pierced everything.
Interminably shrouded in cigarette smoke
seeping from vermilion lips.
Yeah, I said you're kinda hot.
So what?
Why should I get a life?
Or was it grow up?
Whatever the hell you said,
is that your typical reaction to flattery?
Damn.
Don't over analyze.
I didn't expect you to repay me
with deviant, deplorable sexual favors,
or some other sort of immoral behavior.
I'm already pleasure bound
in a faithful relationship.
And no one I've met so far
had the power to break that.
Not even you.
You're not that special Precious,
so don't flatter yourself.
As a matter of fact,
get over yourself.
Why don't you come down off your cloud
and join the rest of us.
It's really much more fun down here.
I swear.
Just try not to assume
that every dude
is trying to fuck you.
It's so much easier to simply smile,
say thank you,
and take it for what it is.
A friendly gesture,
nothing more.

LOL - love it :-) But truth be told, it sounds more like inner dialog than what really went down. I know, cuz I've been there…and the perfect retort comes around as you sit a stew about how arrogant and rude it was - how what you'd really like to say was…………… I enjoyed this :-)

I agree. I'm still her, to an extent. Forget the image, but the attitude. A compliment is a compliment, but they're hard to distinguish from the rest, at times.

heh heh heh, crazy write, I love the attitude - and the short, effective jabbing lines perfectly emphasise the 'nature' of the punk girl..... Thank you.
