Give Me Liberty (I'll Be Okay)

By Liath

Give me a bottle
Gimme a pipe
She's not a perfect model
But you'll never hear me gripe

Smoke it away
Drown it in 80 proof
The tale as old as time
Something so close but held aloof

Give me liberty
Or give me death
Well fuck chivalry
And take away my breath

Not that great
But I'll be okay
Just looking for a mate
Today's just not my day

And I'm not always going to be nice
But I'll always be good
And I'll not always be willing to roll the dice
But damn it girl get up on the hood

So give me a bottle
I'll smoke it away
Give me liberty
And I'll be okay

Yea...I'll be okay
Today's just not my day
And I don't know what to do
I'm just so damn anxious for something new

Money doesn't grow on trees
And love can bring a man to his knees
But all I know is that I want something now
'Cause I'm about to bow down and be gone with the breeze

So give me a bottle
I'll smoke it away
Give me liberty
And I'll be okay

I'm drowning in a sea of love
The tank squeezes my body tight
And soars a million miles above
The water tastes of saline tonight

Fire creeps from my pupils
In tendrils as the feeling rises
Burning up every hope and dream
And growing numb to new surprises

So give me a bottle
I'll smoke it away
Give me liberty
And I'll be okay

Flames only burn straight
But I'm bent
Pain, it feels so great
Shrieking out an anguished lament
