Torment is over

By Linwe

After 3 years of Love and pleasure, so intense and deep
The happiness we've known was great, yet it's time to weep
Even though my heart is still in dismay
I will go on and find a new way
I craved for your soul, for your attention
Hung on to the Love you'd never mention
Our fairytale has come to a mournful end
Where our names are no longer engraved in the sand
Sand gets blown away
By the gusts of wind
Tainting our picture with decay
Rain sluices down and washes the remains away
Like tears will do to the pain, which is not to stay
I hoped you were instead, but I was wrong
And honestly, I knew it all along...
